My local shop has 15 of the PJ 7" ...... hoping its not too popular with the diehards who line-up very early.
My local shop has it too, but they didn't tell me how many they have.
This is my first go-around for RSD. Anyone have any idea how early i should get ther?
My store opens at 11am, and they said a lot of people get there 4 hours in advance. I don't have it in me to wait that long, so I will prolly get there and hour in advance.
My local place opens at 7a tomorrow. People already lined up outside. Crazy.
Those people are idiots.
It is their hobby but I don't see the draw anymore with buying a vinyl with 25 year old songs on it.

I was 17th(ish) in line at my local store (Ditch Records). I got one no problem (10.99 cdn). They had a bunch.. I'm thinking there were another 7 to 10 after I took mine. At least it was almost half the price of the AIC one?
11.99, wow... I remember buying the "Vitalogy" 45's brand new in 1994 for $2.49, same price as a cassingle. Interesting how vinyl increased 400% while CD's are the same price or even less than they were 20 years ago

Yah vinyl prices keep going up. It's still a niche market but that niche market is willing to pay. I found most of the RSD stuff was on the expensive side today. I was surprised 10c was charging a few bucks more than retail stores, but I guess that's nothing new

The AIC is way more collectable, hence the price. Double 7" gatefold. 4000 RSD only. No future release. Songs never before on vinyl in US.
PJ is 5000 with future release, already exist on vinyl, and have 2 more coming next month.
Gone by the time I got into my local shop. Grabbed one from 10c.

Good!!! It should be cheaper at a record shop to Encourage shopping local. You should pay more if you order online in this situation. The whole point of this was to drive traffic to lacal record shops

Well even if 10c charged the same price you'd pay cheaper at your local store because of shipping
I still don't think RSD has the desired effect. They basically release a bunch of limited edition vinyl that only come out that day. People go into to buy those specific releases. They sell out in a few hours. Then it's back to normal. I guess that's a temporary spike in sales for the store. If there were more copies and it wasn't a lineup to deal with, and people could casually stroll in all day long, and buy regular and rsd releases, it would of work. That's my best case scenario I'd like to see. Otherwise it's just people lining up to buy a few records.
Already got one at my local shop. Noticed that the ones that 10C is selling are the US versions. I need a EU version, if anyone in Europe can help a guy out...please.
