Late Show guests are TBA for Thursday and Friday. Pearl Jam to perform??

It's a long shot, but what are the chances the band will do a warm-up performance on The Late Show this Thursday prior to the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony?

Billed as "The Late Show Monologue Special", but who knows what that's supposed to mean.

    How did they do it the last time they did a full set on Letterman? Was it a separate ticket process for the performance following the on-air taping? Or were people with tickets to the show just lucky to get a bonus performance?

    Well it won't be Friday that's for sure. Rehearsal in the afternoon then the main event @ night.



    A special guest appearance on Thursday would be pretty freaking sweet!

    Not sure if it's always the case, but some late night shows film both Thursday and Friday shows on Thursday.

    That is true for the Late Show. From what I can tell, it's pretty unlikely Pearl Jam will actually perform. This article explains what's going on with this Thursday's taping. It would be a major surprise to add Pearl Jam as a musical guest at the last minute. I feel like there would be some indication by now that something was going on.

    They record on Thursday for both Thursday and Friday shows. Between that, and the possibility that any of the other RRHOF acts could do surprise shows as much as PJ could, I'm not seeing much happening there.

    Sounds more like the Late Show is finding ways to insert a few pieces of new comedy into their rerun episodes. Some of the late night shows do Monologue Rehearsals (Fallon does for sure), so Thursday's taping just might be some opening monologue jokes they'll replace over a rerun show.
