Change is hard, revolutions are not easy and are often bloody. The Time is now.
Of course being in the US we have the opportunity for a *bloodless revolution. We have laws, rules,votes...a great thing called the constitution.
Lets use our tools properly, positively.
So Lets take trump down, And from now on hold our leaders accountable for Their words, their actions.

Too vague. All I've seen you suggest is that the burning it down consists of questioning the electoral college and holding people accountable. That's all possible in the current system.Idris said:U

I couldn't disagree with you anymore. See my contra-point above and why the Bannon/Lenin destruction tactic is so dangerous and historically a failure.Idris said:U

How about we try to fix some things before we burn them, eh? History is pretty clear that a dictator follows these civil wars. Stalin, Mao, Napoleon, Tito, Franco... we can keep going if you'd like.
Again..The house is already burning to the ground. But for you mass spying, US imperialism, our two party system is perfectly fine. Letting our leaders lie, kill and destroy is apparently not serious enough.
When I was fighting against apartheid in South Africa. We had people who would say "we can still fix this"
Sorry, We needed a restart. And we got it. (South Africa is far from perfect now. But at least they took time to reflect and ask some very important questions about the future of the country. About themselves)
We need that here. Truly open conversations.0 -

You don't need to destroy the republic to revoke the Patriot Act. What makes you think there is enough support in this country to do such a thing and that there is enough support to end US Imperialism as you define it? The reality is that the vacuum created by destroying the republic would be filled by exactly the types of characters I just pointed out, in which Trump is a two bit character of the same order. To think something more benevolent will rise is extremely naive. The thrust of populism in this country today has NOTHING to do with spying, imperialism or likely anything you find important. Do you see anyone protesting in the streets today because Trump wants to increase the defense budget?? Hell no. There's no popular will to evoke what you are advocating.Idris said:

Things most definitely WILL get worse because the entire United States Congress and it's "we enjoy power" Republican majority is in ENABLE mode. House members like South Carolina's Trey Gowdy and California's Devin Nunes and Kentucky (or wherever the fuck he's from) Sen. Mitch McFuckin Connell are prime examples. The R's in the Senate certainly didn't stop any of those cabinet nominees.
The R's in the House will pass that POS heath insurance bill.
Constitutionally speaking, there have to be several Republican Senatorial defections, or the House must move to impeach the OF.
If they haven't done it yet...what will need to happen? Seriously.
