Best PJ Side Projects?

I'm considering which PJ side projects to start listening to. Not sure where to start so I could use some help. I 'm very familiar with: Green River, Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog, Mad Season, Ed's solo work, etc. I'm actually looking for something similar but different if you catch my drift. Any thoughts on the following projects, or maybe you could suggested something I might be missing. Thanks!

Brad/Stone Gossard
Three Fish/Jeff Ament
RNDM
Tres Mts.

Brad is my go-to, fronted by my favorite Seattle singer. The Rockfords are a close second. Love Tres Mts and RNDM as well.

  • IMO - Brad is an easy first choice from that selection, followed by RNDM, Tres Mts, then Three Fish.

Brad is excellent, a very underappreciated band! I really dig RNDM, too. I didn't at first but they grew on me & I really enjoy them now.

I like all of Jeff's side projects and was fortunate enough to see RNDM on their last tour, but I revisit the Three Fish albums frequently, especially the first one called "Three Fish". Its really different, in a good way.

    Brad first, then RNDM...

[Then take a detour and and explore Shawn Smith and Joseph Arthur...]

Then circle back around to the rest of Stone and Jeff's albums.

Apparently Matt's in a pretty good 'side' project too :)

Thanks. What I've heard from Brad I've really liked. Some of the softer stuff has made me hesitate but I'll give it a try. I really like Joseph Arthur too, so RNDM is on my radar as well. I'm a big King's X fan and I know Doug Pinnick guested on a Jeff Ament solo album, is that any good?

Brad. Shame has been one of my favourites since it came out.
It makes much more sense to live......in the present tense.

Dug was the singer on the Tres Mts record. It's definitely worth checking out

Just found out Mike McCready plays on 4 songs from Tres Mts. He's also in the live band performances on YouTube. Nice tunes!

Mike plays on a few songs with Walking Papers. That album was very good.

RNDM grew on me in a big way, I love both of their albums.

The first one is the stronger, but the second is damn good too.
