Strikes out a ton. Has to be off the bench, right? Unless Bird isn't healthy or something...igotid88 said:

I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0 -
I actually think he's too big. 6'7"? He was a HR derby champ in the minors but it hasn't worked for him in the majors. Might be a Kevin Maas in the making...Cliffy6745 said:
Long swing, big guy. Will be tough to cut down on the Ks but apparently they have been working to shorten his swing a bit this offseason. Dude has monster power.tempo_n_groove said:I'm praying that Aaron Judge gets his act together...

He's had a hundred something at bats in the majors. Every level he has been promoted too he has had bad numbers and adjusted. He's the biggest lottery ticket of their prospects, but give him some time.tempo_n_groove said:

Frazier is gonna get Gardner traded this year though.
I'm super pumped for this spring training and season. This team couldn't be on a better path0 -

Much less of a leg kick. Might take some power, should speed up his reaction time.0 -
Let's hope, I went nuts and bought a ton of his cards. If he hits I'll eat good off him.Cliffy6745 said:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T-NeT-U0_w

Well this is why they signed Carter, no?
3. The Chris Carter signing will make it really easy for the Yankees to send Bird down to Triple-A to begin the season, which is notable because 65 days in the minors will delay his free agency a year. The Yankees lost a year of team control over Bird because of the injury last year. He spent the entire season on the Major League disabled list and accrued service time. Sending Bird down to Triple-A for two months to begin the season allows the team to “buy back” that year of control, and Carter is a more viable alternative at first base than Tyler Austin. Remember, Bird wasn’t great in the Arizona Fall League (102 wRC+) and he didn’t play the field at all. Designated hitter only. Sending him down for a few hundred at-bats in low-pressure games to get back to normal would be easy to justify, and as an added benefit, it would give the Yankees that extra year of control bac

So there you go. Chris Cater is the opening day first baseman.

Smart move by the Yanks to get Carter for almost nothing. Look what the O's are paying Chris Davis. How much different are they really. They both hit a lot of homers, walk and strike out a lot and hit for a low average. Yet Chris Davis is paid about 150 million more dollars. Smart move for the Yanks even before the Austin injury.380

Read the Chris Davis comparison and love it. It's very true.gregkitefan said:Smart move by the Yanks to get Carter for almost nothing. Look what the O's are paying Chris Davis.
