I know, and they may go down closer to April, but I refuse to pay more than face for tickets. All that does is support scalpers. Just hoping to score a single from someone on here at some point.SVRDhand13 said:

Just curious what everyone thinks, my buddy and I had a friendly disagreement on whose fans will be more represented. I say PJ fans will be the majority, he seems to think Journey will have more. Just feels like this demand is very PJ related, despite Steve Perry making an appearance after a long time.0

To be honest, I was lukewarm on going anyways. IMO it is an event better suited for television. It is probably a lot of sitting around and hearing people talk. PJ will play just a couple songs and they will be of the ilk of Alive and Jeremy... then join everyone at the end for a mess of a "Dont Stop Believin" or RITFW... Not even sure how well each individual band is sound-checked or if it is just optimized and cleaned up for HBO.OceansJenny said:Both me and my husband tried right at 10am. Nothing. Fair enough, I hear you there. It would be much worse to lose out of a full show, but I guess since it's a one time thing it would have been cool to go. But you're right, the whole thing is set up for television specifically, not the audience. So it will be like watching a live taping to a show.MayDay10 said:

Edit: Which I must say, show tapings are free!! Do they need to recoup venue rental or something? They'll get TV ad revenue. Why do they need $500 for lower level tickets?

Does it air on HBO live or do we have to wait a while to see it?OceansJenny said:

I tried for a pair in any of the 3 cheapest price tiers at 10 on the dot & came up w/ jack. I even checked the Bronze VIP for a pair & got nothing (which is fine since I didn’t want to drop $225 / seat anyway……. I’m glad I wasn’t faced with that dilemma)
I’m in the same boat as Mayday, I was lukewarm on going at best. It would have been fun & unique, but on the other hand, I don’t have to burn a vacation day or spring for a hotel in NYC.
If this ticket sale was for a show I had my heart set on, I would be a lot more disappointed.
Bummer for the people who really want to be there, I hope Severed Hand is right & the resale market drops off for you. (I also suggest people keep trying, I expect more ticket drops for this ceremony.)

I was on the fence (which is why I slacked on the pre-sale), but then I realized this will be the only time I care about the event, so I figured I'd try to go. Would be an excuse to go to NYC, too. I'm hoping to find a reasonably-priced way to go.0

Very true, but I would obviously go with the mindset that this isn't a PJ concert, or a concert at all. More of just a celebrationMayDay10 said:
