Morello and Cornell tweeted about it from their official accounts.

Awesome news. Got to see them in 2004 on Halloween Night. Great show.

I saw them at Lollapalooza 2003 in Seattle touring the first album. They were pretty awesome. If they were playing around here I'd definitely go again.

Saw them at the Tabernacle in Atlanta for first album. Great show. Tom Morello is really a treat to watch. He does crazy things to that guitar!

  • Shit. I wasn't home to watch this. Any replay or video of this?
  • Sounds like they only did 3 songs. Also interesting article read - "very busy year" for everyone. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/watch-audioslave-first-performance-in-more-than-a-decade/

I manged to download it in SD. It originally streamed in really crappy quality 720p, but the replay was in SD. Luckily I managed to capture that which is better than nothing. Similar to the Live reunion show on new years. I wish bands would use youtube. Not that youtube has the best quality, but it's miles better than Facebook Live :)

The return if Audioslave means the return of Cornells "Audioslave era voice"

I remember it being cringe-worthy when I saw them live. But then I saw him solo and couldn't believe the difference.

Revelations is gone from iTunes. Wonder if they are planning a reissue and tour, since they never did tour behind it.

I love the first Audioslave album front to back, but the 2nd and 3rd ones aren't as good (maybe a few songs on each that I like). I was lucky enough to see them at Lolla 2003 at the White River Amphitheatre south of Seattle. It was for the first album, so they basically played all of it. No SG or RATM covers on that tour. Chris sounded great. I'm thinking maybe his voice went on subsequent tours/shows. I agree he sounds amazing at his solo acoustic shows. Maybe he's arranged the music and his singing to better utilize the current state of his voice (as voices change when they get older). Perhaps he can't handle the Audioslave stuff anymore. I did notice he ran out of breath about half through the long growl/scream in Cochise :)
