Not in '05. That Canadian tour killed it. It got so bad no orders went through and they resorted to letting TM handle the 10c tickets. That's pretty much the major reason it's done by lotto now. Every subsequent tour they had more and more members trying for tickets. The website completely collapsed at the end. They couldn't keep doing F5 if they wanted too.

That was 2011 when Ticketmaster handled the Canadian tour.

If you go reserved, your chances increase tremendously.

Yes. Throw in a Charlottesville, Moline, Lincoln, Hampton, Greenville and you are good. The band always seems to choose some cool, somewhat obscure location to drop a gem on us.

Yes..smaller cities are the way to go..easier parking, ticket lines, merch lines and the crowds are into it.I would never wait in a line for hours ( not even for a Philly show)..

Yah the difference between Vancouver '13 and Seattle '13 was night and day. Vancouver had a small lineup (barely anything) to get tickets. The merch line even after people picked up their tickets was only 30 or 40 minutes. The Seattle show, only two days later, and equal sized venue, had a merch lineup that went for blocks, days on end.. it was crazy.

Sometimes I feel lucky living where I live. I always have to travel, but it's always to Vancouver and Seattle. I get the sanity and ease of the Vancouver shows, but also get to see the unadulterated PJ fandom craziness in Seattle.

BTW - of this current generation of shows, C'ville is still my favorite. There was something really special and intimate there. Even Hampton, Greenville and others that are small that I've been to couldn't top it.

Man Charlottesville was so special. I dont know..the venue around that campus in the fall and then an amazing setlist was just phenomenal. One of my best memories over my 23 years of shows.

That's real... cursed by living in NY though haven't had luck when wanting to travel either.

I don't know if it helps or not, but choosing GA #1, and Reservered #2 in a megatropolis doesn't give you the best odds. The # of GA tickets is much less, and the demand for a show like NY means the reserved tickets also won't make it past the first round. I've thought about this when it comes to Seattle (the show I didn't get tickets for). The demand is so insanely high, that whatever you choose as #2 is pretty much moot. I think I'm going to go for reserved in Seattle next time. It's hard though GA's so awesome. You know the odds are way less, but the gambling part of ones brain still wants to go for it
