You laugh but it is actually quite sad. These artists are all being vilified, getting death threats, etc. for just wanting to play a gig. Most of them are not even political. As somebody who was pro-bush AND pro-bushleaguer I find the constant attack on artists to be shameful. It happens on both sides and it is not a good thing.
it's not "just wanting to play a gig". they are potentially gaining notoriety (i.e: forwarding their own careers) off the back of a misogynist rapist pig.

if they had wanted to play for Cruz or Carson or even Guiliani, no one would be batting an eye.

Your KKK analogy is insane but I recognize that is where the state of the opposition is these days. That being said I have no problem with bands who don't want to participate...that is completely their right. What I am talking about is bands who want to participate but are having their lives torn apart for even considering it.

I guess we all hate the Dixie Chicks now!
It wasn't an analogy, it was a question.

I don't condone death threats against anybody, by the way. I can understand people getting upset about it, but death threats? that's a little fucked up.

The representative from Georgia used the term civil "right" when referring to education. I guess we could argue basic right versus civil right but he he said specifically civil right, "education, it is a civil right".

Point: when in front of donors, education = civil right, when to oppose Bernie, education = commodity.
Oh, I understand your point. I just disagree with your interpretation.

It wasn't my analogy and I actually spoke against the comparison (even though I understood what she was striving for by offering it).

Lol, it was a perfectly reasonable question. I was asking to see where you stand in terms of criticizing artists for who the choose to perform for. Apparently, you have a line where criticism of artists' choices goes from shameful to justified. Somehow you believe that your line is the definitive one.

I find the coyness in TBs post an insult to all deplorables. Stating an opinion about President Trump and not wanting feedback and goes on to praise Hillary with no restrictions on input.

Is that all you're going to do? Defend the broken system rather than look at it objectively and see what the real problem here is? One side is not better than the other. One side is not better than the other. One side is not better than the other.
i don't think i've really ever defended or trashed our broken system. i've mostly just been trashing Trump. I suppose 'the system' is a broad term and depending on who you talk to, you will get a different answer in regards to how the system is broken. May I ask which parts are broken for you?

    Latest tweet folks, https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump
"@levisteveholt: @realDonaldTrump I appreciate your use of Twitter to keep us informed and maintain transparency." Very dishonest media!
At 9:00 P.M. @CNN, of all places, is doing a Special Report on my daughter, Ivanka. Considering it is CNN, can't imagine it will be great!

The OUTRAGE that I have flowing through my veins now. That's the type of lie that's going to destroy our country, not the asshat in chief lying DAILY via a social network. Yes, this elderly black congressman, who had his skull fractured in a peaceful demonstration in the 60's, is where our outrage should lie.

Very theatrical...you have allot in common with Lewis.

Lying is okay if you marched with MLK? Okay

Boycotting the last two elected presidents you disagree with isn't bigotry or political but principled? Okay

Bonus: "It's almost impossible to work with him"
