    The abundance of overtime and shootout games, and the phony point system the nhl uses is ruining the league. Too many games are worth 3 points, while a regulation win is 2.     I agree. They do need to change up the OT/SO point system.
    yup should go with 3 points for a regulation win, 2 for ot win and 1 for ot loss.

    Crashing back down to reality. This team is still a bubble team at best.

    And my god does Couturier stink- at best he's a third liner. They need to address the 2nd line center position thru a trade and/or draft.

    Let me add, Hextall screwed up big time on the off season signing of Weise and Gordon, more so Weise. Dale Weise has done absolutely nothing to warrant the 4 year deal he got. I didnt understand it then and it looks even worse now. At least Gordon is gone after this season. Terrible decision by Hextall.

    the East is stacked. I still think they make the playoffs but it will come down to the last 2 weeks as usual.

    Agree on Couturier. Never been a big fan of his. I think he is average at best. Very good defensive center but I agree at best a 3rd line center.

    Went to the Alumni game last night. Mrs FMe had an absolute blast and after we drank with the ice girls. The only time in 5 years living back here where I have seen four 9s/10s together. So hot and we got free drinks.
    Gotta give it to the Philly fans....Full house to see a charity "game"

    Only bullshit piece was that the penguins trotted out some motherfucker who was thirty. He set up the 2nd goal and scored the third. Desjardins was the only other person out there who looked like he could still play

    I think Desjardins right now could play better than most of the pylons we have on D playing right now.
    This team is bad, right now barely hanging onto a playoff spot with a complete week off now with no practice. Other teams will surely pass them.
    The defense is brutal and the goaltending is sub par. Forwards dont back check and Claude Giroux is a Powerplay specialist at 29, has lost a step or 2 and is making almost $9M per year. Just too many 3rd/4th liners on this team. Forwards prospects need a huge boost in the system and this team needs more top 2 line talent.
    They will either miss the playoffs or just squeak in at the 7/8 spot.

    Agree on Giroux. Sucks at 5 on 5. might be the most overrated player in Flyers history. time to explore a trade for him.

    I was out the other night and talking hockey with a flyers fan. He went on a five minute rant on your C. Said so many things that were true. Time to move on from him....At least to take that C away. He's really not good. No idea who would trade you for him. Perhaps on a stacked team he would be a good addition for PP...But that is too much money for him.

    How did he fall off the cliff like that? At least decline at a gradual pace. He went from 60-0 like that. Wasn't so long ago he had the most points in the league over a 5yr span although i did help that Crosby was hurt during that time.
