I know the Cubs won a series now, but I still take Vedder at his word about not touring around basebll playoff time... "Late 2017" sounds moure like Nov/Dec to me vs. Sept/Oct anway. That smells like South America and/or Aus/NZ to me...

    Makes most sense
But they've never toured Australia unless there was a new album out.
must be a new album then too

Completely agree. He made it clear he would rather not tour during the playoffs and the Cubs are poised to be good for a while. As much as I want them to tour the US in some fashion, a Nov./Dec. tour does seem more likely to be in SA and/or Aus.

Mike said in an interview there would be no new album this year

If I had to guess, if it's late in the year I would guess a west coast run.
Seattle might finally get a show. A California run maybe. I don't expect them playing anywhere farther East than Denver.

Hopefully Australia, its been 7 years since a proper tour. I know a lot of people skipped BDO 2014 and missed that tour, as they were exclusive to the festival.

The people who skipped seeing them at the Big Day Out 2014 were obviously not real fans then. I saw them at Gold Coast BDO and it was fantastic. It just felt like a Pearl Jam show with a lot of support acts. Every other Australian fan I know went and had a great time.
I really didn't get the hate for the festival either. Obviously it would have been better to have 3 hour shows, but to see PJ in (my opinion) the most naturally beautiful country in the world was such a treat. We flew from Vancouver to see BDO in Sydney & Adelaide, caught three additional EV shows in Sydney (2 at the State, 1 at the Opera House), and also saw the National play outside the Opera House. BDO had a great lineup! Seeing Arcade Fire leading into PJ was incredible (too bad about blur), but still that was one of our most favourite trips ever!

Really hoping for all the AUS/NZ fans that they do a full fledged tour in 2017 or 2018.

I thought Arcade Fire were awful. Each song sounded the same to and my skin was crawling. Each to their own.

I still remember how PJ burst out onto the other stage before AF had finished their set which I thought was funny.

I certainly hope you're right. I had to travel to the USA for my last eight non festival shows.
There was no comparison between Melbourne '14's 2 hr show with say the 40 song epic at Denver '14.

the producer or director of that film said it's the best stuff no one will ever hear. it was commissioned for the film but not used, which I believe means they control if it ever gets released or not.

Quick, someone look up every baseball teams schedule and post every 7-10 day break they have from April through September so we can read into where PJ may or may not ever play.

Chicago baseball stadiums would be out - Wrigley's already announced all their concert acts (Billy Joel, Green Day, Dead, Tom Petty) and whatever the White Sox stadium rarely hosts music.
