Not sure if they're going to play the whole concert this afternoon, but I've just caught the first five songs on Ten Club Radio. So excited to catch this, because I wanted to make it to Boston for this show and couldn't make it. Sounds fabulous so far! "Release" into "Long Road" gave me chills sitting at my desk eating lunch.0

This is pretty much what i am thinking with the exception of the Aerosmith statement. I did know the song and feel there are better songs they coulda picked...tempo_n_groove said:Loved Release into Long Road, who doesn't?
Strangest Tribe was an absolute treat!
Masters of War sounded rugged. I enjoyed the distorted guitar on this.
Was nice to hear a new cover in the Aerosmith song. Didn't know what it was so I liked it.
As always, All Those Yesterdays was an amazing performance. I wish they'd play it more.
Crowd was great. Good vibe!
Thank you Boston for being a great host city!
I also loved Matt jumping the gun a song early on Grievance. Once you've been to enough shows, things like that are fun.
I did not really like the fast I am a Patriot...I like older versions better.
And breaking a 13-year drought on Baba O'Riley; awesome.
I also LOVE Fenway...I've been to a few games there but never a concert.

I think I prefer the first night to the second night after listening to both bootlegs. Both shows were incredible in the moment, but I'm leaning toward N1 - perhaps due to the presence of Yield songs.Post edited by BF89905 on0

Within the first 3 songs played at Fenway (night 1), I had this strange sense of dé·jà vu. I knew that Release, Long Road & Small Town were also the opening songs on night 1 of Worcester back in 2013... but it turns out that these 3 songs were played in the exact same order at both shows. Not sure if it was intentional or just coincidence, but I thought it was coolAug. 05, 2016 - Fenway Park, Boston

Right when Long Road started I called Small Town next in my head. Could not have just been a coincidence and those are 3 great songs to kick off a show imo.actonplp said:Within the first 3 songs played at Fenway (night 1), I had this strange sense of dé·jà vu. And those are your two shows? That's pretty crazy. Beautiful opening segment.actonplp said:Within the first 3 songs played at Fenway (night 1), I had this strange sense of dé·jà vu. I know, what are the chances of that happening for the only 2 PJ shows I've seen?! I was beginning to wonder if they were repeating the whole Worcester show :-) Fenway was awesome, so glad I got to see State of Love & Trust, Given To Fly & Black played liveSVRDhand13 said:

Kind of funny, but I didn't even realize it until someone posted it on here. I was at both and front row center at Worcester #1. I was in another world at both shows...just so into it at the time I didn't even notice...ha!SVRDhand13 said:

Dam listening to Grievence on the boots. They played the shit out of that song. Well done Pearljam. Wow0

Also love the wasted reprise.0

Why is the "official" set list for this at https://pearljam.com/tour/history/show/boston-1 missing several songs? It is missing Sleeping By Myself, I Am A Patriot and State Of Love And Trust? (It also shows W.M.A. and Another Brick In The Wall (Part II) as distinct songs instead of tags, but that's a choice, I guess.)I gather speed from you fucking with me.0

What a great night...
During the break Ed chats with the audience and has some Polaroids of the crowds he took on the first tour displayed on the video screens. He says the first time they played in Boston at a club called Axis. He doesn’t have pictures from that show because he took pictures of security guys beating up a kid. He laughs over the security guy trying to tear the Polaroids but he didn’t get the pictures back. He also shows Polaroids from when he snuck into Fenway because he just HAD to get in.
20. Strangest Tribe
