MVP coming up shortly.. who ya got?
My votes - Betts AL, Bryant NL
Probably will be - Betts AL, Bryant NL
But wouldn't be surprised if... Trout AL.
Bryant should be a no-brainer. If he doesn't win, I'm hunting down every fucking writer that voted!Post edited by HesCalledDyer onStar Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -

Wouldn't mind seeing Altuve. He kinda trailed off at the end of the year but he still has a great case for the award!Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

Because without him, they would've finished last instead of 4th in the worst division in baseball? He's a great player, don't get me wrong, but what a joke for MVP.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

I wish it was just called the "Best Player Award'. Would be much easier that way.HesCalledDyer said:Because without him, they would've finished last instead of 4th in the worst division in baseball? He's a great player, don't get me wrong, but what a joke for MVP.
Hopefully Trout gets a chance to play for a winner at some point.0 -
Dude is the best player in baseball. Can't argue with his numbers. Even though I think Betts should have won.HesCalledDyer said:Because without him, they would've finished last instead of 4th in the worst division in baseball? He's a great player, don't get me wrong, but what a joke for MVP.

I honestly wish they had both an MVP award and a Most Outstanding Player award. Trout could have easily won MOP every season, and I have no problem with that. But since the award is Most Valuable Player, I really have a hard time giving it to someone whose team was either never in contention or improved upon the previous season.Indifference71 said:

Not surprised in the least bit that he won, though. I think it's a farce this season, but it doesn't surprise me, either.Post edited by HesCalledDyer onStar Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -
Josh Reddick will be 30 when the contract begins so his outfield defense will start to go down.
He hit .155 against lefties last year with ZERO extra base hits and he just got a 50 million contract.
Damn why did I give up baseball when I was younger.380 -
LA Times reports the d**gers are "hundreds of millions" of dollars in debt.
