    The Current's coffee break was "Cubs vs. Indians".. bands from both cities. I went straight to "Go All The Way" by Eddie.. Someone fought me on it saying that Eddie was from San Diego. ugh.. some people. anyway, the Current didn't play it so I'm quite disappointed as it was the PERFECT song naturally. Oh well.
    On the topic, anyone see the great pictures of Eddie partying with the Cubs after that last game? If/when the Cubs win the pennant, the next PJ or Vedder album could have some pumpy vibes. haha

    All they seem to play is wimpy indie and soul. Limited playlist, Brian Oake, too much talk not enough music, their self congratulatory attitude about their music and station. Just my opinion.

    i am not a fan of how the variety the current plays has dwindled over the years, and not a fan of oake at all, either, but to call the station terrible is just wrong. every time i travel somewhere i'm reminded of just how lucky we are to have an over-the-air station like it, despite its flaws.

    Changed a lot in the last 5 years. Still love it, but it's lost some of its edge.

    With the Palace Theatre reopening next Spring, I vote they go small and blow the roof off that place in a Ten Club only pre-Target Field show.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    agreed! it's the only station that you'll actually hear new bands coming out that aren't already made to be famous by the label. Yes, it take's a few months sometimes to hear a new song that makes me want to check something out, but at least it happens. Also, they still play a good variety of Prince.. even before he died. They can do whatever they want 70% of the time (maybe more).. no other station can do that.
