He overplayed his hand. But it could also mean he's going downmarket. The vast majority of the people he has recruited for his "movement" would never be able to afford a night at his hotel or a round at his golf course. But now he may have a new product to offer them that they can afford... media.

Yeah I think he went into this thinking it would be great for his brand. I do think he probably didn't expect to win the nomination but when he did he doubled down.

I really don't see how he escapes a major bankruptcy in the next few years. He was on the edge anyway.

Yeah and the self funding promises that he made that never came around.

My prediction is that soon after the election he will have his campaign reimburse his companies for millions of dollars for rents/labor, etc. That would be a career ending move for any politician.

I think it may have been his plan all along....conserve as much cash as possible to cash out in the end.

Oh, definitely! There has to be a reason why he is withholding them and making excuses as to why he hasn't yet. He would have been happy to release them if everything was on the up and up. He's either trying to hide behaviour he knows people will hate, and/or he's trying to hide that he's not nearly as wealthy as he claims to be.

So Trump is saying he will propose a constitutional amendment for congressional term limits in his first 100 days.
Now, it's been 20 years since I've taken introductory government civics in high school, but I'm pretty sure the President does not have that power. An Amendment like that can only be proposed via Congress or a Constitutional Convention, and I don't think he will have many members of congress biting at limiting their terms.
