I agree and this will happen. Tenclub lets do a tenclub only show to honor our brothers entering the hall. And lets do it at MSG. Good Night.

It's hard to take it seriously when Alanis is one of the nominees ...

Jagged Little Pill sold 33 million copies worldwide while Ten sold just over 10 million. That being said it should take more then one album to land one in the hall of fame.
Ten sold 10 million in the U.S. not sure worldwide

13 million in the U.S. never been able to find any solid global sales figures but I would think it would have to be at least over 20.

Not a chance in hell abruzzese will be there. Irons and Krusen might show up-

I can't believe Trent Reznor got snubbed 2 years in a row

I can...RRHOF is notorious for snubbing acts who have a cult following or were big in their day, but haven't had much output in recent years.
In what way hasn't NIN/Reznor had much output in recent years. He must have released more stuff than PJ and is always up to something. And he has more than "a cult following".

It's not up to the band to decide which members are inducted

That is correct but the band knows who is accepted and who is not....
  • RRHOF is notorious for it's random selection of who gets in. The Grateful Dead had a bunch of people from various times including people who wrote lyrics but never performed. For Nirvana, Chad Channing, even though he played on the song that the Hall was using to mark 25 years didn't induct him. Dave Abbruzzese didn't play on Ten so by the Hall's "rules" he won't get inducted. Essentially the RRHOF makes the decisions on who is in who isn't and who gets to the introduction. Unless they want a band/artist badly enough to acquiesce to who they want represented. Steve Miller had no idea who the guy inducting him was and the feeling was apparently mutual. The list of gaffs by the Hall is nearly endless.

When Green Day was on Howard Stern. They were given 3 choices on whom they wanted to induct them.

yeah, seems like it depends a bit on how much pull the band has. Green Day got to decide although they had to choose from three that the Hall determined. They couldn't pick the person they had to choose from the Halls selection for them. Green Day are pretty popular. They sell a lot of records and happily appear in Rolling Stone. They probably get a bit of leeway.
Steve Miller was assigned someone to induct him who didn't particularly like his music and whom he didn't know. Chili Peppers got to include all of their drummers and Nirvana had to go with Dave. Nothing against Dave. Kiss couldn't even pick the version of the band.

Totally agree. We need to post people outside the voting locations.

If Green Day can get in, certainly Alanis Morrisette can too....

They should play their own Barclays shows that week as well, or at least another venue. I have a weird feeling they will play a secret show and 99.9% of people will be severely disappointed.
