Fkn loving the Rolling Stones right now... Always knew the basic hitters, but like all music I like to dig deeper in albums and find those songs forgot about. Some Girls (deluxe edition) has to be one of the best. Exile (deluxe) is good shit as well... I think I almost have every album (70's era)

    Does it get any better than the run of Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main St.?

    Every album has some rock, blues, and country...

    I just found the rare Hot Rocks mispress LP. It has alternate versions of Brown Sugar and Wild Horses. I read that it was only pressed for the first two weeks before the two songs were swapped for the album versions. Not sure how many are left out there. Side 4 has 11-18-71 in the matrix and all 4 sides have the name Shelley. You'll either notice a different date or no date at all on the others since they only swapped out the 4th plate. Those songs sound pretty good compared to the originals.

    I love that a Rolling Stones song is always on the radio when I need it, especially when I didn't know I needed it.

    I really hope they tour this year.

    Haven't checked it out yet, def will... Just loving these guys right now. Awhile back I went thru a CCR phase and just got every album, same with Zep, just so many gems on albums that are never played/heard... Just damn good music. I grew up listening to all of this (I'm only 34) but I never dove deep into the catalogs/albums like now.. Truly great stuff..

    Yeah, they're great. Shares the #1 spot with PJ as my favorite band. Archive #2 is pretty good, but it's hard to beat Archive #1. Rolling Stones circa 1981 vs 1973 is kind of a no-brainer for me. Hampton Coliseum is really good though, long setlist compared to Brussels, nice mixture of songs, pretty good energy, etc. Definitely worth 5 bucks.

    Been revisiting early Stones lately and really feeling comfortable in that groove. Albums like "The Rolling Stones, Now!", "Aftermath", "Flowers", and "Between the Buttons" fit the ears like a fine and comfortable old shirt. Cool, calm, collected.

    Goats Head Soup has to be one of the most underrated Stones albums.

    Definately one of my favourites.

    A fascinating record. Interesting times with Mick ascending into the realm of rock and roll god and Keith sinking farther into addiction. Not my favorite, but a strong record, for sure. Star, Star and a few others are great.

    It was a blatant attempt to cash in on the psychedelic era. That said, there were a couple of great songs on that album. The Stones tried to distance themselves from that one rather quickly. They have always been best when sticking with blues based music. Tripping was just not their thing.

    I've been listening to some of the Stones records from the late 70s / early 80s........Some Girls & Emotional Rescue are both great albums.....love the bare-bones guitar sounds all throughout Emotional Rescue.

    Black and Blue is a solid listen as well

    Agree, GREAT album. Going to get the vinyl this week. Have heard complaints about the mastering, but I will forgo that and get it anyway.
