No, makes winning the Division more important. I know you said you wish they could have best of 3, but the teams that Win the Division would have too much time off.

I call it the play-in game. Game 163 if you will. So, one game is fine to me. After tomorrow's game, the playoffs start.

the Cubs already don't play until Friday. You can play 3 games before then. and no reason for the NL to play a day later. Baseball plays just about every night during the regular season so playing 4 or 5 straight nights is not a big deal for a team. there are too many days off during the playoffs, obviously dictated by tv. plus making the wild card teams play at least 2 games with few days off will be more taxing on their pitching staff and require more travel which would give the division winners an even bigger benefit than they currently get. just my opinion.

How did he not use Britton?!? It was clear that Jimenez had nothing out there....that's awful.

I guess. I have been to about half a dozen Blue Jays games over the years and I have never seen such obnoxious and drunk fans anywhere else. Don't get me wrong, I like to have a good time, those Canadians seem to take it to another level though.

Maybe Toronto should consider only selling beer in plastic cups instead of aluminum projectiles. It's not like this is the first time this has happened.

i agree it's a tougher decision than people are saying today. I think not using him before the 11th was fine. if you bring him in after the first hit against Jiminez then you are using 3 pitchers in that inning and severely limiting yourself after that if you get out of that inning. with the big guns coming up that inning probably should have used him in the 11th but i can least in a very small way see why he didn't. he gambled and lost.

it was a shame to see jimenez give it away after the stellar work of the rest of the bullpen
