It's funny how people are still in search for rare cd bootlegs, but shun these......0

I can only speak for myself (as someone who collects old PJ unofficial CD boots from the 90's), but I can think of at least two good reasons:elvistheking44 said:It's funny how people are still in search for rare cd bootlegs, but shun these......
1 - these vinyl are not going to sound any better than cd's, they're the same old circulating digital sources pressed on vinyl... total crap. Having an unofficial silver pressed cd of a show can be cool (some people like to have some kind of physical product in their hands).. but unofficial vinyl? It even occupies more space on your shelf, for a very useless product.
2 - there are still some old school unofficial PJ cd bootlegs from the 90's that contains unique sources (only available in those specific boots; sure you can find rips online that are sourced from these, but again, some people may like more to have the original, even if unofficial, product in hand).. for example 'Piss Bottle Men', 'Seattle Jamming', 'Home', these AUD sources are still to be circulated in a pre-bootleg form. That said, I never saw a pearl jam vinyl boot that contains a unique source like the ones I mentioned.
not to mention.. it was not rare that bootleggers in the past sent their own tapers to record shows and press cd's.. it was not the most legal thing, but this way we can now hear some shows that we may not have heard any other way. Nowadays? These lazy ass bootleggers just download a torrent, and create a vinyl out of it. and people buy that shit. ..and don't even get me to start talking about bootlegged studio albums in vinyl: ultra total super sucky garbage.0
