I believe at this point tourist aren't allowed to visit.....just for family or educational purposes. My mother wants to visit and take my daughter to Havana hopefully next year. I really hope it happens I'll pay for the trip it will make them both happy to go.

    My wife and I just booked a weekend trip in December. The education aspect is still in place, but there are a lot of companies who run trips. I am very excited.

    I have a good friend with relatives in Cuba. The trouble it has been for her the few times she visited them in Cuba, good gawd! Glad to hear it's getting better!

    Being Cuban-American living in Miami this is something I have been waiting to happen for a long time. I can't wait to start planning a trip out there and visit some family.

    I've been there. It's not as bad as you think.
    I stayed in people's homes and learned a lot of what is happening at the moment in Cuba.

    It's inevitable. We called it the TGIFriday illness. When one of those places was seen in a foreign town we knew it's done for.

    I don't think the citizens would mind at all if they were Americanized. I think they would welcome it and cherish it. Look at all the Fords, Buicks, and Chevys that they are still driving around.

    But I don't think upper management will allow it to happen.

    I agree, I don't smoke cigars but I sure would like to know how they're made since the world thinks soo highly of Cuban cigars.
