GAWKER Vs. Hulk Hogan

To expand, Gawker is making this storyline out as a billionaire with an angenda took them down. And that it had nothing to do with gawker releasing a sex tape. And that we should take pity on gawker.
The billionaire just financially backed gawkers own fuckup. He didn't need to spread false lies or degrade Denton's character.
This attitude exemplifies Denton and company's complete arrogance.

Ah yes Uh, that is Hulk Hogan's signature look.

As in, rich people can control media? Yeah, I think that slope was already been slid down a long long time ago!Cliffy6745 said:This entire thing is so shady. The billionaire who Gawker outed funded Hogan's suit. That's a really slippery slope...

Loved it when Beavis and Butthead riffed that video.Jason P said:0 -
Just like how Mr Nanny and Suburban Commando aren't actual examples of quality film making. Just ask Nostalgia Critic.Degeneratefk said:I'm not convinced that Gawker is actual journalism.

I recently posted an article in another thread that suggests that it's not specifically rich people who control the media... it's intelligent people who control the media and they got rich doing it.... Just saying.PJ_Soul said:

I doubt they'd argue with you on that. The whole site is just a cesspool.Degeneratefk said:I'm not convinced that Gawker is actual journalism.

I was born in 1985, so Hulk Hogan was clearly my first hero (excluding Mighty Mouse).Jason P said:

I really think if they wouldn't have been so arrogant and dismissive in court that they would still be operating. Just sit back, stay quite, and let the lawyers do all the work or train you what to say if you are questioned.
Even Gawker's coverage of the trial was like "this is so stupid, whatever"Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
Seems like they were losing that case regardless, but maybe you're right. The jury took no time and awarded him as much as they could.Jason P said:I really think if they wouldn't have been so arrogant and dismissive in court that they would still be operating. I don't like what they did to Thiel one bit, but I also don't think a billionaire should have the power to shut down a website of that magnitude because he didn't like what they did.0
