Wrigley parking?

Hey, can anyone tell me the best way to handle getting to Wrigley? We have a (rental) car -- is it better to park nearby or park remotely and take a train? I'd appreciate any advice or tips you all can offer.

Apologies if this has been a recent discussion topic.

    Lots of variables (when you're getting there, cost vs. convenience, etc). Just FYI though, parking in the lots near Wrigley is $50+ for a weekday afternoon game, so I would guess it will be between $50-100 tonight.

    You have a rental car, but where are you staying? Most any location in/around the city you should be able to take a train and it will be cheaper and easier.

    One option is to drive to Arlington Park and then take the Metra to Ogilve train station. Then walk about 5 blocks east to the CTA red line, take that north to Wrigley (Addison stop).

    Here is a link to that Metra schedule (link).https://metrarail.com/maps-schedules/train-lines/UP-NW Inbound trains today at 12:29, 2:29, 4:29. Then you'd have to catch the 12:30a train home (or Uber). Metra has $8 unlimited pass for Sat/Sun.

    Getting back to the burbs at night on Metra can be tough. Check the schedule. I would look into the Park n Ride options for Wrigley or drive close to Wrigley and be willing to walk a bit.

    We know someone who lives within a reasonable walking distance of Wrigley; is parking a decent option if you are looking a mile away or so? We don't mind the walk.

    Another option is to drive in to the Cumberland parking lot of the CTA blue line (just past O'Hare). Then take the blue line into the city, and transfer back north to the red line. I think you can also take the blue line to Addison or Irving Park and take a bus east to Wrigley, but have never done that personally.

    Someone tweeted parking will be very limited to consider taking public transit.

    If you are willing to walk a mile, you should be OK. Just don't expect that you'll drive up and find a sea of parking like United Center etc. You will find gridlock and closed streets the closer you get. Fortunately air + water show probably won't get big attendance today due to rain.

    A mile walk won't be bad - all through neighborhoods - but just make sure you have a guest parking pass if the area is zoned. Otherwise they will at the very least ticket you if not tow you.

    Try stubhub. Lots of parking options. You're going to pay though. Got a spot 0.6 miles away for $42

    I just called the Cubs fan services number, they are running shuttles to and from the remote lot tonight. Lot opens at 4:30.

    Remote lot on Addison just off 90. Can park there and take the bus. Takes a while to get down Addison but it will be filled with concert goers so should be a little less annoying.
