    Haha...what about the posters who named more than 5, or used the 'honorable mention' cheat? Or listed solo artists?

    Gun to my head, I'll throw Grateful Dead and The Beatles on my top 5...but those 3 have been my only long term permanent fixtures. So there.

    Only 5 is definitely tough. It doesn't really reflect my taste in music very well when I can only name 5. My list makes it seem like I don't listen to any bands that originated after 1990, lol.

    The Black Keys (I'm a massive vintage fan, I know, this band isn't near top 5 bands of all time material.)

    So if you wish replace Black Keys with Arctic Monkeys or White Stripes.
