    I like this thread. But my tastes have been described as decidedly less than average.

    Btw, I met OP and his above average bride in philly 2013 and the experience was average. I blame that on myself as my wife was pregnant and I was in a very average mode.

    Yeah, I blame myself. They both seemed above average but I'm with the OP and give the woman more credit. My wife having worked for a German company, I also have a soft spot for finding German women to be above average. My wife, by association, is well above average.
