I think there were ghosts out tonight
you could tell by their formative screaming and
long shapes

you could just tell how slow she went
forward as if backwards with her children in long dresses creeping

blue lights and what was she doing

several nights a week the ghosts go backwards like an audience

in white, they fly down steps facing the wrong way

overcoming

the shadows that are making them
