Attention Toronto: VERY IMPORTANT Gordon Lightfoot Thread

RaeleighRaeleigh Posts: 137
Two of the greatest baritones of all time: Ed and Gord. With all due respect, it is only fitting and it is time that a cover of a song by Canada's most esteemed songwriter (that's correct- I love Neil as much as the next- but Gord's credentials, honors, and talent are peerless) is finally performed in Toronto by our beloved band... thoughts, opinions, requests, suggestions... ?

Might I suggest "If You Could Read My Mind?" or "Summer Side of Life"?

C'mon, fellas! This is a totally rational and sensible idea.

How about "Sundown," great song, that would be pretty cool. Side note...if they ever made a Gordon Lightfoot biopic, Brian Cranston would be the guy:

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald would be badass

The Replacements did such a great cover of "Im Not Saying"

Ha! Excellent call on Cranston. And that is my favorite Lightfoot song.

    Thank you for the smile!
