Thanks! Yeah I'll just be cabbing it around or taking the trains so stuff out in the burbs or another city wouldn't work.Jearlpam0925 said:
Philly ones in the immediate area would be Saint Benjamin, Yards, and Phila Brewing Company I believe are the only proper breweries in the city that you could easily get to while staying in the city. I always try and visit new breweries when I can and I'm wondering if you guys have any recommendations for particular ones in Philly.
But if you want to taste as much of the Philly in beer form then you'd probably be better off going to really good beer bar, which there are plenty of. For that I'd go Monk's, Eulogy, Bottle Shop (a 6-pack to go place, but with a shit ton of different beer that you can hang out and drink in their place), Sidecar, Garage, South Philly Taproom. There's sooo many more when it comes to bars, but actual Philly breweries in Philly would be Yard, PBC, St. Ben. Oh, and Dock Street out in West Philly.
Would love to hear some more bar recommendations too. I'm staying in East Passyunk at an AirBnB and of course I'll hit that area and South St. Also thinking about checking out Fish Town one night and I'm open to other areas too. I figure that I'll try and check out some places after the show and Sat. will kind of be my bigger "bar night" overall.I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind - E.V.

Great area. JP's hood. Lots of good stuff around there. Great area for restaurants and bars. Stateside, Cantina, South Philly Tap Room not far away, Triangle Tavern, Pup On Passyunk. Use this site...not every bar is on here but they work hard to keep it up to date.indifferentman said:

Any parking suggestions?
I bought two bus tickets from and to NYC (both shows) but I'm reconsidering for night 1. Any advice? Should I park by the venue? Or park somewhere and take the train?
In NYC it's usual to pay $40+ for a few hours. I would like to make better use of that money
Thanks allSevered Hand0 -
If anyone has an extra GA to night 1 please PM me! I will be there...0

I'm flying in Thursday afternoon and staying at the Doubletree by the airport, I plan on heading over about 4-4:30 and get some beers at Xfinity. If anyone wants to carpool at that time, send me a note, I guess I will Uber it over there unless the hotel has a shuttle. I've heard these Philly/East Coast shows are special so I am really looking forward to next week.1992- Lollapalooza, Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI 1995- Summerfest, Milwaukee, WI, 7/8/95 and 7/9/95 1996- Toledo, OH 9/22/96 1998- Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI 6/26/98 and 6/27/98 2000- Alpine Valley, Easy Troy, WI (The Ice Bowl) 2003- Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI 2006- Summerfest, Milwaukee, WI, 6/29/06 and 6/30/06 2009- United Center, Chicago, IL 2011- PJ20, Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI 9/3/11 and 9/4/11 2013- Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL 7/19/13 2014- Moline, IL 10/17/14 and Milwaukee, WI 10/20/14, 2016 Wrigley both nights0

So pumped for these shows!
I just posted this in the ticket selling/swapping thread, but figured I'd put it here just in case it gets glossed over in that thread.

What's the deal with parking? I am driving from MD and going home after. It looks like its gonna cost $40+ to get a reserved spot in the lot online. Is it any cheaper to pay at the actual venue?0

If you don't mind walking 20 minutes or so, you can find a free parking spot (Pattison Ave> right near Philabundunce)TFlyer said:What's the deal with parking? Man, now I'm hoping these shows are amazing just so they live up to whatever expectations are in everybody's heads. At any rate, I hope you all enjoy this city as much as I do. Fair warning - if you can't appreciate hard-nosed assholes then it it might be hard to do so.0

Just find me the nearest coffee shop and I'll be fine. Hard-nosed assholes can't compete with caffeine.Jearlpam0925 said:Fair warning - if you can't appreciate hard-nosed assholes then it it might be hard to do so.
