South Carolina has never been Released

From what I can tell going through the past tour setlist, I don't see that Release has been played in SC. Made the trip from Oklahoma (where we also haven't gotten it) for the run from Greenville-Columbia. Disappointed by missing out on the Raleigh show, because that knocked out another chance to see my white whale. This would've been show number 10(!) but now it will be 9. I understand why they've done it and I can't complain about the shows I've seen because I remember every single one vividly and have never had anything but amazing. If they could find it in their heart to play it in Columbia I would be forever grateful as this song has a meaning to me due to my father leaving my life from the time I was 2 until my early 30s. We've been patching things up the last 3 or 4 years. Hopefully in the future I have more PJ shows to come in the years ahead, but you never know and thought I'd give it a shot here.

I'd like to see Release as well. I gained a much deeper appreciation of the song after my father died.

by far my favorite PJ song of all time, for some of the same reasons OP mentions .. was 5- late 20's for me... I have got it once and it is so powerful when you hear it live.. my fingers are crossed for you bud... glad to hear about you and your dad, making up after all that time is tough, weird and really hard to explain though I think you know what i am talking about... "oh dear dad can you see me now, i am myself, like you somehow, I'll ride the wave where it takes me, I'll hold the pain... release me." to this day, i still relate to this...
