Exactly. Use experts who know how to run a sale and price services to market prices creates sanity. Interesting concept. Adam Smith should have thought of that.Suziemay said:
It was good, except that the prices are rabidly expensive. Not many people will be buying tickets to multiple shows. Also I'd have to imagine the scalpers didn't scoop up as many as they would have for Pearl Jam. How much margin really is there to tickets that are already so expensive?!? This would have gone very differently if these were $90 tix we were talking about.nocode85 said:Anyone else feel like the fan club sale today went extremely well? I was able to log in, view a few different ticket locations before i was satisfied and check out with ease. Wish Ten Club had been like this back in the day of F5-ing all day!

How much were the pit tickets?joberschlake said:I signed up for the fan club awhile back to make sure I got tickets. Got thru no problems this morning. Wanted to get the GA pit on Slash's side until I saw the price. WAY more than the posted 250. Ended up row 2 on the side of stadium. I'll take it, never got to see them when I was a kid during the UYI tour.
Gilmour in Chicago next week and GNR in July. Definitely 2 bucket list shows this summer. CAN'T WAIT. Most excited I've been for shows that don't involve Gaslight Anthem for a long long time.Zod said:

Bought a fan club membership Thursday night on a whim hoping we'd have some access to Troubadour tix since I was not going to camp out at Tower. No luck with that but thankfully the membership's already paid for itself.
Passed along the code to a friend who snagged a pair for San Diego.0 -
I struggled for the first 10 minutes getting errors when searching for tickets. Then I had two browsers stuck waiting, and a 3rd had no problem but pull up crappy tickets 4 times in a row. I got the ok tickets about 40 mins in.nocode85 said:Anyone else feel like the fan club sale today went extremely well? I read after in a gnr forum that people had way better luck on mobile devices. I always forget about that option. I prefer to do it on the PC but mobile devices seem to have a leg up these days.0 -

Looks like demand is high which is good. Really hoping they add a 2nd Chicago show. Wifes cousin is getting married July 1. Based on their tour schedule, Chi july 1 then Cin july 6, plenty of opportunity for a july 3 show in chi. They also have larger gaps after Bos and Ny. Thinking the chance of 2nd show in those markets is high. One can hope!Alpine Valley 6/26/98, Alpine Valley 10/8/00, Champaign 4/23/03, Chicago 6/18/03, Alpine Valley 6/21/03, Grand Rapids 10/3/04

I guess it's 4/6ths, but they were already down those 2 guys during the UYI tours too... so basically its the UYI lineup with different subs.dlymnfld said:These expensive half a band reunion stadium tours really make me appreciate bands like Pearl Jam that have been together forever.

Technically, PJ doesn't have its original line up either. Not sure why people who hate something are so worried about it.Zod said:

Wouldn't count on it. There's a fairly consistent weekend show/mid week show pattern. NJ (there is no NY show) is a Saturday night. I don't think they're doing back to back nights and seems unlikely the added show would be a Monday or whatever.pureoc said:Looks like demand is high which is good. Would be Sun July 3rd more than likely for 2nd Chi show. Yes, no b2b nights all tour. Original rumor was 2 Chicago shows. We shall see, hoping so as that will be my only chance to see em.EdsonNascimento said:

Yah I'm still in awe that Axl and Slash made up, after all that bad blood between them. Never thought it would happen. Gotta see it with my own eyesEdsonNascimento said:

I suppose but they could of made millions any time in the past 10 to 15 years. Had they gotten back together 10 or 15 years ago they'd be way further ahead, so you kind of figured it was going to be one of those things that wasn't going to happen.cutz said:I'm not in awe at all, not when ther gonna make MILLIONS>LOL

I actually don't hate GNR. I saw them in like 91/92 in Worcester and loved the show. I wasn't knocking them as much as being grateful for Pearl Jam.EdsonNascimento said:
