Backspacer is better than Yield, No Code, and Avocado?? Ouch. I can't say I agree at all.

'Backspacer sometimes gets a bad rap among casual fans' - I wouldn't call a lot of people on here who don't like backspacer 'causal fans'.

This list would probably have resemblance to what order I'd put them in if I just heard each album once. But that's the beauty of PJ, their albums grow on you over time, and whilst I have the same top 3 (not in that order) the rest of my list looks quite different.

Binaural and riot act are pretty spot on although I'd put riot act on the bottom. Backspacer to me seems a little high but overall it's a pretty solid list backed up with pretty good evidence.

i would not call their albums worst. i would say just most favorite and rank from there. i have not seen a band of this magnitude have so much quality material. even though there are a lot of people who don't like certain albums there are still so many that do. there are no real stiffs here. that's the part that is amazing.anybody spinning a rolling stones album from the last 15 years?

Seeing Vitalogy at #1 was a pleasant surprise. I don't know if I've seen a list like that that didn't put Ten at #1

My teens LOVED backspacer when it came out. Very friendly album. A lot of kids knew it from Rock Band 2. The Fixer was on vh1 alot too

i think i'd have to put Vitalogy at the top of my list too. there are 10 real songs on the album and every one could have been a single. in fact, i remember radio stations playing just about every track on the album at the time it came out.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion... I'll just have to disagree with the person that wrote that article.
