  • This album is kind of tied to online memories with me. This was the album where I really spent the most time on pearl jam boards. The Synergy site, with its 2 boards, the new board and the old board, but the old board was superior. Then they all went down and we went to red mosquito. All to follow live set list updates. Great times.

I wasn't real keen on the album at first listen, but spending time there, listening to theories on lyrics, what other people thought was great and were into---like, it really helped. I love that album. Help Help and You Are are cool as fuck, I want to hear LBC at every show I go to, actually saw ARC twice, the older I get the more "oh the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives" has meaning, voted for Bush---love bushleaguer. Could go on much longer.

Love this album. Rank it easily above avocado and backspacer

Obviously I'm a Riot Act fan... and No Code, Avocado too... but I still hold out hope for something great in these guys' later mid-life period. Just one of those guys needs the right spark and, BAM!, off they go!* Neil Young was in his early 50's when Sleeps With Angels, Mirror Ball and Broken Arrow came out, all great stuff (with a few just ok songs thrown in but that's nit picking). PJ can do it too!

In fact, I want to see a song on a PJ album called,

    "Bam! Off they go!"

    haha!

I put Riot Act on NFL 2k4 as the in game music, it really smashed that album in my brain.... Now every time I hear the Intro for "You Are" it channels the reaction that It`s time for kick off.... It played after every freaking TD.
  • My absolute favorite album...very fitting this time of year as well...

Very fun time period in my life. When i listen to that album its a time machine back to fall'02. Not my favorite album but the one that hits my senses the most

This and Backspacer are the only PJ records i like after Binaural
