Just close your eyes & pick any show from http://pearljam.com/goods/index.php?cPath=11_13 . All are pretty good.
San Diego '13 is one of the longest shows from the '13 - '15 period. 3 hours 16 minutes & 48 seconds. It's 4.04 gig Flac-HD size is one of my favorites.
Everyone praises Moline '14 cause it was the "No Code" show & Milwaukee '14 cause of it's "Yield" presence.
Spokane '13 & Vancouver '13 are fantastic shows too.0 -
I would disagree with the Leeds assessment. I commend the boys for digging deep in their catalogue, but it's a shaky performance in a lot of places. The length of a show doesn't necessarily mean it's spectacular; it just means they played a long time.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Simple answer: Detroit or St Louis 2014....
For what it's worth, I (and a couple other members of the board) have reviewed around 300 PJ bootleg reviews at least, and have listened to god knows how many more. You can find a link to that website with reviews of bootlegs and our favorite shows in my signature. It's hard to narrow it down to one bootleg. Picking one with a setlist you like is a good start, but only a start. Do you care more about sound quality of the boot, crowd volume levels, Ed's vocals, or if the performance doesn't have many errors? Or, are you just looking for an all around great bootleg? Also, most folks are only going to recommend shows they have been to and ones with a lot of rarities (which is fine), but may not necessarily be what you are actually looking for.
Here are some awesome sounding recent bootlegs, good performances all around, and that are just all around some of the best I have heard: Pittsburgh 2013, Oklahoma City 2013, Philly 1 2013, St Louis 2014, Detroit 2014, and Vienna 2014. Tulsa 14 deserves honorable mention.
Any questions, I am happy to answer. I love talking bootlegs.2008: Bonnaroo

2012: Atlanta
2013: Charlottesville, Charlotte

I gave Moline a try. Depending on how long the bus ride is tomorrow I should be able to listen to a decent chunk of it. My membership renews in a couple of weeks so maybe I will try another one of the suggested shows.
By the way with the latest version of the download system why are the files set up so my computer thinks the bootleg is 3 cds all with the same title? When I finished downloading my computer was ordering it so that all the track 1's played first. Right clicking and changing the track numbers in the details so that the tracks played in the right sequence was kind of a pain in the ass.0 -
Biased because it was my first and only show I've attended and also in my home town of Moline. Listen to it daily in the gym. Started with probably my favorite song and just continued to amaze me. I still get goosebumps. Hoping the Tampa show this year is close to that experience. Hope you enjoy it.0

Might give St. Louis a try too after I have listened to Moline a bunch. I was looking for something with a bunch of newer stuff (Lighting Bolt and Backspacer which I haven't listened to in awhile) on it to really hear what that sounds like live before the tour starts. It looks like that show has a bunch Lighting Bolt stuff on it, unless there is something better in that regard?TamaDrummer91 said:Simple answer: Detroit or St Louis 2014....

Over time my favourite bootleg has become Philadelphia 1 2013. What got me to buy it initially was Let The Records Play followed by Spin The Black Circle, but it has a good and varied setlist, a good crowd, and excellent performances (in my opinion, obviously, lol)."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

It's hard to top St Louis 14 imo, but for Lightning Bolt songs, I think Pittsburgh 2013 would be the way to go. It's a great boot too. Fantastic versions of Pendulum, Sirens, Infallible, Records Play, and Yellow Moon.2008: Bonnaroo

I liked the setlists from Phoenix and Charlottesville last go round any input on the sound of the boots?0

just select all "disc 1' tracks, and change all to "disc 1 of 3" in the details all at once. do the same for the other two. two steps instead of nearly 30 or more.Kel Varnsen said:I gave Moline a try. Very happy that I've been to three of the shows on your list (OKC, St. Louis and Tulsa). Out of the the shows I have been to I completely agree that St. Louis is number one, though I would also recommend Dallas 2013. For shows I didn't go to Charlottesville 2013, Vancouver 2013, and Moline 2014 are my favorites.TamaDrummer91 said:Simple answer: Detroit or St Louis 2014....
