I'm gonna have a great time with this thread! A lot of great new music to discover. I don't quite want to except where music is heading today, so I'm kinda stuck in the 90s... Great thread OP!0

Man, I dig the music of the 90s and all but there is some really good stuff out there nowadays if you look around. I'll just throw a few out off the top of my head. Check them out. Maybe one or two of them will strike your fancy. Or maybe not.
The Hold Steady
The Avett Brothers
Ghost
The National
Arcade Fire
Cage the Elephant

OK, well listen to ALL of them because those were several varieties of tea I listed. Ghost sound nothing like Avett Bros who sound nothing like The Hold Steady.Treyert14 said:Eh, I've listened to most of them. Not my cup of tea!
Clutch? They've been around since the 90s so maybe that's somewhere to start?

PAW!! Living in Kansas when these guys were playing the Prairie Metal circuit.goldrush said:I've got to mention Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine. One of my favourite bands of the 90s without question, and one of the best indie bands the UK has ever produced.

There are plenty of other threads to discuss modern bands. I don't see the point of your post here.JTH said:Man, I dig the music of the 90s and all but there is some really good stuff out there nowadays if you look around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8r5Xvz9CjE I think this is the only live video of this tune, for some reason they don't play this live now - shame, it's an absolute fucking belter! Anyway, they had a trio of masterpieces in the 90's.
