PHILLY 2016 ROLL CALL

I would recommend staying in center city and taking a short subway ride to the WFC each night. (Insanely short ride. Like 10-15 mins at most)chitownp76 said:Got GA night 2, if my brother cant join me I will be looking for a ticket buddy for Night 1 GA or MSG Night 1. In the meantime, can anyone recommend a hotel in a good area not to far from the stadium. My first time to Philly. Coming from Chicago.
The arena is down by a bunch warehouses and stuff and there is literally nothing to do down there. You'll just wind up traveling into center city or maybe old city for the day anyway and then having to get back to stadium for the show (assuming you plan on checking out philly and don't just want to hang at the hotel all day in between shows)2008 - Camden, NJ 1
2009 - Philadelphia, PA x4
2010 - Newark, NJ, New York City, NY x2
2012 - Philadelphia, PA
2013 - Chicago, IL, Philadelphia, PA x2, Hartford, CT
2016 - Philadelphia, PA x2, New York City, NY 2, Fenway 20 -

It's not bad. You'll be fine. Short walk to the arena and if you want to head downtown you're close to the subway. Good choice in my opinionSprunkn7 said:I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Stadium. Never been there before but it's within walking distance. I'm sure it isn't the Plaza but it will serve it's purpose. Takes out parking cost or waiting for a cab since none of us will want to be a designated driver.

^^yes, if your interested in the city def stay in City Center. We have no plans on going anywhere except hotel, pre-parties and venue....Love Philly and I'll be there for the Flower show in March. We hit the market and get those amazing doughnuts!
Basically you can do the Historic Philly in a day if planned right.Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!0 -
Yeah, my flight gets in to Philly @ 435 PM. Not knowing when the show starts I may have to stay close to the airport Thursday night to allow enough time to check in and make it to the stadium. Plan on staying in that area maybe Friday so I can check out downtown.wall05 said:

I'm not sure of pricing. I booked in Oct with the heavy rumors. I think we are about $925 with taxes for 2 rooms for 2 nights.. but yea, thats the place.chitownp76 said:Im showing 300 a night for the Holiday INN Stadium, is that what you got?

You'll have more than enough time to check-in and still make the show if you stay downtown. I wouldn't want someone's impression of the city to be that of tarmac and industrial refineries in the background.
Loew's, Sofitel, Holiday Inn Express, Palomar, among others - all right downtown, right off the subway; half hour drive via taxi from the airport (if that), and then it's a 10 minute ride on the subway to the arena.
If anybody needs recommendations, things to do/eat, message me. Big fan of helping the out-of-towners.0 -

I stayed there during the 2013 tour. It's a nice place with a nice bar. Quick and easy walk to the venue.Sprunkn7 said:I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Stadium.
