First time there last night. I had teriyaki beef donburi (a big bowl of steamed rice that is stir-fried with beef and mixed vegetables - served with a picked side) and it was pretty good. I didn't like the dessert that much though. I tried banana katsu (banana in panko breadcrumbs with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream).samjam said:
I went to that place for the first time in Europe two summers ago, it was delicious. And I just heard it was coming to NYC, so I'm stoked. Not that there's a shortage of good Japanese food here, but still, excitingPap said:Wagamama

So a pretty crazy thing happened a couple days ago. Went to a concert, and to our surprise (we got there around when doors opened), walked right in and straight to the front row. From that view, I spotted someone side stage who looked really, really familiar. And it finally dawned on me that he used to work at the venue I interned at a couple years ago! I was debating whether to say hi or not, and I sure am glad I decided to go for it! At the end of the show (which was amazing, and I got a setlist!), I asked security if I could say hi to him. He came down, gave me a big hug, and we chatted for a bit. Told him where I was at, what's been going on--basically that I ultimately still want to work in music. He gave me his number and email and told me to send him a resume! Even offered to put me on the list for the band's 2nd show the next day! What a small world...I cannot believe that happened! Still in shock! Crossing my fingers it might lead to something. Helped restore a little faith in my dreams, and that I can and will be able to pursue them, succeed, and be happy!"Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."
