last show I was at, posters were tough to get, even though they were ugly as hell, Managed to get one of the copies signed by the entire band for 100$... great keepsake...shecky said:TOOL is incredible live!
And you don't have to worry about the posters selling out right away - the TOOL crowd seem to only want the latest black t-shirt.
Real individualists.
I ponied up for VIP tickets to the Houston show... I wanted the tickets, but was struggling with the price... when the wife-to-be told told me to buy them, or she would buy them for me an call it a birthday present, I pulled the trigger...
can't wait to see what's going to be in store... should be a fucking epic day on March 25th!
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -
How early did you have to go to get one of the 'signed' editions?shep said:

Going to the Spokane show, looking forward to it. Shameless plug here as we're giving away 2 free tickets via trivia through the audiohammock.com podcast.
Only seen them once, same venue during the 10,000 days tour. Was really impressed. Light show is worth the cost of admission alone. Hope we get a few more older tracks though, Undertow and earlier. Honestly I'll be happy with anything though.http://www.audiohammock.com - Rock, Indie, and Electronic reviews, news, and the AudioHammock podcast.

Tool played at the Monster Mash on Halloween.
They came out on stage dressed as Led Zeppelin and played No Quarter.
Then they played The Grudge.
That would have been enough for me."My brain's a good brain!"0 -

Saw them in Arizona on Halloween and they were way more into the performance than the past couple of tours. It kept me wanting more. This is great news that they are touring again!Vancouver, BC - 2005

It seems Maynard is pretty distracted with Puscifer and it took a festival near where he lives to bring him out of Tool hibernation. That said, if Danny, Justin and Adam has the music for a new album than Maynard will be happy To join them.0

i see two 4 day gaps and one 3 day gap. I predict several more shows to be added. This screams Vegas after San Diego.0

Good point. I'm ready to act on SD tix on Friday so I'm hoping it won't be LA in between there, which would save me the trip. Either way, it's been 5 years for me so I'm looking forward to more Tool soon.mr bungle said:i see two 4 day gaps and one 3 day gap. I predict several more shows to be added. I've seen them four times. Lolla '97 at the Gorge, Lateralus tour in Vancouver, 10000 days tour in Edmonton, and some non-album tour show in Edmonton.KH71368 said:Worst live band ever. Save your money. I like Tool, by the way.
For me they are 3/4 four. The Lolla '97 show was one of the most insane concerts I've ever been to. The crowd was crazy energetic. Snoop Dogg started a Fuck The Police chant when someone tossed a doobie on stage and it look like an officer was going to do something about it. Tool came in playing on that energy and it was great.
The Vancouver show was polar opposite. It sucked. Maynard hid at the back of the stage the entire show. they had huge speaker stacks on the right and left side of the stage. If you were seated in the wings and didn't have a dead on view, you couldn't actually see him because the angles causes the speaker stacks to block the back of the stage. It sucks so bad going to a concert and the singer hides at the back where no one can see him.
The first Edmonton show I saw was awesome. They scaled back all the crap, had a simple setup, and prompty rocked the place for two hours. Great show. 2nd Edmonton show I saw a few years later was similar.
Maybe you saw them on the Lateralus tour? I'm not sure what Maynard was thinking on that one. Every other time I've seen them they've been really good.0 -
I was there!Zod said:
Victoria! They played here when I was living in Edmonton, but I still can't believe they'd play here.. lol.RobbyD462 said:Hoping for Seattle or Vancouver!
It was when I first moved here.
Great show they played an 18 minute version of Flood.
