    Not at all harsh. I don't think there is a way to block viewing their posts (if I am wrong, my apologies). Just scroll past their post whenever you see their avatar/username. That's what I do.
    Unfortunately there is no ore 'foe' button-that I know of. Used to be able to do that in the old forum and it was great.

    Wondering how it reflects on me that I was deeply affected by events in Paris but don't even have a clear recollection of over 160 students being murdered in Kenya in April. Yes I have French friends and was in Paris two weeks ago but even so, am I somehow placing less value on the lives of those Kenyan students merely because I find it easier to relate to the French?

    And there was the horrible Tunisian hotel attack in June. Something like 38 people gunned down while lying on the beach getting a tan.

    Paris is still very much on my mind. Gut wrenching to read about. As lovers of live music, it could have been any one of us...

    The joy and freedom that comes with attending a concert; the world's bullshit that doesn't seem to matter anymore for those couple of hours--that was all ripped away from these people in the worst of ways.

    Just fucking awful. I can't get it out of my head. Already had bad dreams about it.

    Sometimes people don't know what to say. I am saddened by the events, but also there is something else that prevents me from saying something meaningful, maybe it's a loss for words, maybe it's something that wants to not say anything because we shouldn't wallow in sorrow...we need to be strong for them. Sometimes a hug or a warm smile can say much more than words.
