    yes but i love putting the pressure on the defense there. I know Wright's naturally instinct is the cut that ball off but probably would have been better off letting SS get it. Wright can't really throw all that hard anymore which gave Hosmer a great jump on the play. Mets fans have to kicking things after blowing 3 games. what a kick in the nuts way to lose a World Series. Mets need some offensive upgrades for next year though.

    Great series by the Royals. Could have been totally different had they not been a scrappy bunch of good ballplayers. They came through almost every time they needed to and get a WS victory a year after the heartbreak. Props to them and I hope their fans enjoy the reward after so many down years.

    Just goes to show how important a good manager is in the playoffs. Collins should either let Harvey pitch the 9th win or lose or never put him out there and gone to the bullpen. You don't let players talk you out of your decisions in an elimination game. You as the manager are there to make the tough decisions.

    That said the Giants have a 70 to 90 million to spend this offseason based on contracts coming off the books and the owners statement there will be an increase in payroll.
