I only recently discovered Riot Act and so far I am loving it!! I don't think that I would put it in the top tier of PJ albums though. When it comes to favorite PJ album, I alternate between Ten, Vs and Yield.Philly 10/21/13 Seattle 12/06/13 "No Code" 10/17/140

VS is my last, i think. Riot Act, Yield, No Code, Binaural are my favorites. VS is the only album i've seen live completely.Arnhem 2006, Barcelona 2006, Nijmegen 2007, Rotterdam 2009, Nijmegen 2010, Werchter 2010, Amsterdam 2012 (I), Amsterdam 2012 (II), Berlin 2012 (I), Berlin 2012 (II), Amsterdam 2012 (EV solo), Amsterdam 2014 (I), Amsterdam 2014 (II), Vienna 2014, Werchter 2014, Amsterdam 2017 (EV solo I), Amsterdam 2017 (EV solo II), Amsterdam 2018 (I), Amsterdam 2018 (II), Landgraaf (Pinkpop Festival) 2018, Prague 2018, Barcelona 2018, Amsterdam 2019 (EV solo), Barcelona 2019 (EV solo), Amsterdam 2021 (I), Amsterdam 2021 (II), Werchter 2021, Copenhagen 2021, Krakow 2021, Prague 2021.0

"Ten" because It's been in my life the longest. I've revisited them all many times and love hearing them with a new prospective. The songs become new all over again.
Pearl Jam is the true definition of "Classic Rock" the music is timeless. And I never get tired of listening to Eddie's amazing voice.0 -
Versus is probably number one for me me. I love the variety in this record and how PJ managed to make it flow together! I also love Yield, Ten, LBPittsburgh, PA 10/11/13

It really depends on my mood. Each record has it's own little place in my soul. I was 12 when No Code came out. I had already stolen Vitalogy from my uncle but No Code was the first record I really "got" (sort of). It is still one I listen to all the time.
Given to Fly came out when I was going into high school, trying to figure out who I was. I suppose it had a big impact on my development. It was a bit easier to grasp than No Code, and a bit more spiritual/inspirational.
Riot Act came out when I was in college. It had a massive impact on me, caused me to become politically conscious, and helped me develop the world view I have today.
Avacado came out when I was volunteering in New Orleans after Katrina. I had to drive like 40 miles to get it. I remember sitting in my car in the 100 degree heat, listing to it over and over again, getting more and more angry at the powers that be.
I didn't quite get Binaural when I was in high school. I don't think I could appreciate it then (with the exception of Grievance). But as an adult, working an OK job but not a dream job, I re-discovered Sleight of Hand. It completely enveloped me for a few months. I now think that Binaural one of their best records, maybe THE best.0 -
Yield for me as well. I feel so old. I was 19 and in college when yield came out. Where does the time go?joseph33 said:What is your best PJ album you keep finding yourself going to through the years you've been a fan the most? Myself it is Yield. Every song on there is my favorite. It resonated with me when i was 18 and still holds true at 35. The production of the album to the song writing, music, and joint effort of every member to have a voice and say on the finished product. The best art human beings offer is the least seen.

Ten is my favourite. It blew me away when it first came out and it still does, that's how good it is.Kool Kat Club 1992, Moderna museet 1992, Globen 2012, Friends arena 20140

Vs for me...It means too many things to me : souvenirs, feelings, beautiful songs, Incredible lyrics...well, no words to describe it correctly!"We were but stones, ...Your light made us stars"0

Vs.but only ever so slightly over Binaural and quiet often they will flip places depending on my mood. But when it comes down to it Vs. just has it all and it's part of the beginning of the madness/magic which wins it nostalgia points as well.Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.0 -
Agreed, and pretty much exactly what you say here. It showed up at the right time in my life and has been my favourite ever since.joseph33 said:What is your best PJ album you keep finding yourself going to through the years you've been a fan the most? Binaural for me probably, but I tend to switch between Vs. Vitalogy and Yield at present but overall No Code is for my all time favourite.0

There's something about every record that I really enjoy. Each is unique in it's own way.
But over all, total package, I think it's Yield for me.0 -
No Code, followed by Vitalogy and Yield. Avocado is tops in the Cameron era.
Vitalogy would be #1 were it not for the final track.

For quite a while for me it's been Yield, Riot Act, No Code, in that order, each one just a fraction of a place behind the other."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Hard to choose from the entire catalogue, but Ten and Vitalogy ring true for me, with some Backspacer in there too... Tossed in the Touring Band 2000 DVD this week, and turned it up loud!!!!0
