Ticket Transfer for GC

I don't know if this is legit or not but I just saw an email from someone that emailed Ticketmaster about the Ticket Transfer for the festival. Ticketmaster said that they aren't doing ticket transfer for this event. If you did it that way, when you get the email for the tickets you can download the PDF file to your computer and send the file to that person's email. Ticketmaster sucks. Just want to give a heads up just in case it's true.

    Thanks for the heads up! I was doing a transfer to a friend but I'll see her before the event so no biggie. Would have been nice for her name to be on the ticket tho, she is super excited!

    You can transfer your tickets with friends using Ticketmaster’s ticket exchange system - just log into ticketmaster and go into my tickets and select the transfer tickets option. If you try to sell the free tickets, we will cancel them - we have standing arrangements with secondary market providers including StubHub, eBay and Craigslist.com

    I know, I read that but this is a recent email from a couple days ago. Maybe rules changed? No clue. Just trying to give a heads up just in case.

    This part of FAQ is a bit confusing.

    Both of my tickets have my name on them. Is that okay?

    Yes! Please make sure you enter the Festival with your guest.


    Why do you have to enter with your guest? Are they actually going to check ID's at the gate and only allow you in if your name matches the ticket?

    If so, that is really stupid. A lot of people will not be allowed in. I can't even see them checking everyone's ID.

    I can't either but I thought it was odd to have that in the FAQ

    Probably just trying to discourage scalping...no way they're checking ID's to tickets for 68,000 people...have never heard of a venue doing this with the Ticketfast pdf tickets (they do it with Paperless tickets)

    You are referring to GA tickets I assume, right?

    Cause if people are having a hard time transferring VIP tickets I'm gonna be furious.

    I was able to transfer my GA tickets today.
