Meh, I'm indifferent. Saw them live a few times and they are a little better than their studio songs but overall I think nothing special.

  • I'm seeing Imagine Dragons for the first time at the Air Canada Centre on March 4 (yeah, they've gotten so big so fast). Got a pair of GA Floor tickets for this sold out show and I hope it'll be worth it.

A friend of mine and I saw Imagine Dragons with The Naked and Famous and X Ambassadors last night at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Overall, we thought it was an awesome concert and the two support acts were also very good. My friend and I were front row on the right side of the stage and very close to the catwalk. I arrived at the lineup about 2 hours and 45 minutes and saved a spot for my friend (I did get food). There was already about 35-50 people ahead of us. Luckily, we waited in the Galleria and not at Gate 2B, which was OUTSIDE and quite cold.

Considering this is their first arena tour and they only have one studio album and a few EPs, I thought Imagine Dragons did a great job and they proved they can play arenas. Now they need to prove that their debut album was not a fluke and have to retain their popularity for the next few albums. They played for one hour and 45 minutes and a lot of their songs were extended, which was either more sing alongs or extended jams. They also used steams during a few songs and also had big balloons with confettis inside during On Top of the World. They also played a cover of Tom Sawyer by Rush and considering this is a very hard to cover, they did a pretty good job IMO. There's just simply too many highlights for me to tell you about the concert. A lot of fans around us were teenagers and young adults, but I did notice there were a few people who are a lot older. The fans were really calm and not pushy at all. Possibly the youngest crowd I've seen at a arena show and I've been to many.

Imagine Dragons do remind me of the band Coldplay in a way, but I think they're a lot better than the British band. My friend agreed with me and he also compared them to Foo Fighters. I would go see the band again.

I bought tics to Imagine Dragons on an impulse. We wanted to get away for a couple of days in Nashville and I saw IG were going to be at the Bridgestone so I bought tics. Now I am having 2nd thoughts. We will probably be the oldest people there without kids. And TM reviews were not kind. But Jason_Bouchard88 made me a little more optimistic.

I cant watch them. That guy with the beard just annoys me. Something about his face makes me just want to punch it, like on Step Brothers.

I really wish those guys would get back together. I was too young to catch them on tour when they were big over here in the States. One of my all-time favorite bands!

Yeah I read up on him from time to time. Lots of political messages in the Oils music, so it was only fitting he followed the band with a career in activism. He seems like a really cool dude. Looking forward to reading his biography if I can get a copy here in the States.
