I didn't either but I just listened to it and it does have some nice psychedelic weirdness to it- especially that strange middle section. Way!karmadefect said:

I am going to listen to it right now with that mindset.

Since this thread started I thought open road fit into this category. The guitar and ed's voice is kind of trippy......(wish they played this one again)

Never heard that one before.
I'd say it's a strong contender.
Beautifull, and yet another one on my wishlist for the vault series. It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.

Since starting this thread I've been reading here and there what others consider "psychedelic music". Drugs are often referenced, of course, but equally are terms like "esoteric", interest in "spiritual planes", "altered states" (drug or trance induced).mcgruff10 said:Since this thread started I thought open road fit into this category. This song surely fits some of those descriptions, starting with the water blessings (LOL but really, that's what it looked like to me), the esoteric lyric and the spacey guitars. So I would consider this one a "psychedelic ballad" .

Wow, what an awesome vibe.
I wonder if the shows have gotten less intimate and experimental since the band knows pretty much everything they do will be watched again and again for all eternity.brianlux said:
