    let me send out a hearty "fuck you!" to whoever designed these goddam things:

    changing two bulbs just turned into an hour long ordeal....first, they're impossible to line up...then, the whole fixture is loose so I unattach it from the ceiling and plan to undo the wire nuts....only, they're not wire nuts they're some chinese fingercuff things that don't unscrew...so, I gotta fix the fucker as it's dangling from the wires...one bulb I thought was in, falls out....I was getting more pissed by the moment and may have used the lord's name in vain a few times.

    It made me very grumpy. apparently a screw in base is too easy.
    If I had known then what I know now...

    Those fluorescent tube things are the kind of bulbs that can make a young man (like me :wink: ) grumpy. First you balance yourself up on a step stool with the long bulb as your balance poll. The you get the two little prongs on one end in but the other two won't line up and you start to teeter on damn stool as dust from the ballast floats down into your eyes. Augh! Grumpy!

    Used to be when I worked at a college store, once we got the darned bulbs changed out we took the spent ones outside and spear chucked them from about 30 feet away into the dumpster. No more grumpy!

    It was not hard to change a light bulb when I was young.
    I swear it is getting harder to change one.

    Yes!!! those goddam little GU-10s are easier with a suction cup but I seem to have lost the two I had.

    last night, I really wanted 8 hours of sleep.....so I turned in at 9:30.

    asshole, overgrown kids were lighting off their leftover pioneer day fireworks until about 10:45...shortly after that ended, the bedroom smoke detector started to chirp, chirp, chirp. I was still awake, and grumpy, at 11:30.
    If I had known then what I know now...
