9 of A-Rod's 19 home runs have given the Yankees the lead

A-fraud is a pice of shit. A damn shame he's passing the greats as a DH. :rage:
Don't worry. He won't catch that model citizen Bonds...
at least he didn't DH.....or have a 10 year contract.

Do you think he'd be blackballed like Bonds was if he didn't have that ridiculous contract?
    I'd hope so

I bet Cashman is glad the Yanks efforts to get out of it didn't pan out.

Yanks send down Refsnyder. What is the obsession with Drew and Ryan?

Nothing but it's a short term thing possibly due to pitching concerns and he has options left. Come September it doesn't matter so why get rid of guys that could help down the stretch when the fact is Refsnyder isn't going to make a difference in their win-loss record in the next 6 weeks (and it's possible they can call him back sooner anyway).
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    Holy, you two, back!

Definitely short term. Ryan hasn't gotten a shot this year and Refsnyder has options. No reason to not keep the depth for now.

Change your tune on Gardner at all this year?

So Cashman says he's staying put at the deadline. Anybody believe him? Anybody think we still need another righty in the pen?

This has to be a brutal decision making deadline for the yankees brass. I mean, what do you do? I honestly think that this team could win the world series this year. Not saying they will and they are definitely a flawed team, but every AL team is. If they were to get another piece or two, who knows what could happen. Another bullpen arm and staring pitcher and you go with Tanaka, Pineda and someone else and who knows.

That said, you finally have the farm in the best place it is in years. Severino and Judge are knocking on the door. Who would you possibly be willing to part with to get a good piece and if you aren't going all in, why trade Sanchez or someone for less than top of the line.

Glad I don't make these decisions.

If Severino is as good as they say he can be bullpen help later as I think he's going to reach his innings limit soon. And Judge can be that extra bat.

The one thing is if they make it to the World Series. Alex will only get to start in 3 of the games if it goes 7. And maybe 1 at bat in the NL parks.

Ha ha ha. Yeah. Gardners a nice player. Definitely better than a 4th. Having a guy that can hit consistently and play 160 games is becoming a rarity in this post roid era.
