    I just did this. I wish that I could say it doesn't suck, but I miss Brooklyn and NYC so much.

    I am closer to all the places I love away from NYC now (Fenway Park, Cape Cod, Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park), so those drives are a lot shorter. But those are all summer places. I am worried about my future state of mind during the colder seasons.

    I also wish I could say that working in Boston helps, but after living in NYC -- and I lived in Boston for about six years before my 10 years as a New Yorker -- Boston is pretty much a parish.

    Oh well. If I find a healthy way to mitigate the crushing ennui and tedium, I'll let you know.

    I cancelled Comcast cable this morning. (Kept internet though...) Raised my bill by $80 without notifying me. I refuse to play that much.. This will be a good thing. I had been meaning to do this for a while (even bought a local-airwaves antenna) and just couldn't come to cancel it, but the price increase was the kick I needed. I have so much more time now and an extra $80 in my wallet a month! :)

    Yeowch!!! We haven't had cable for 6 years and use the antenna (and roku-netflix, hulu) and my husband never has any trouble finding stuff to watch :)
