    :frowning: Come on down. We had something like 8 or 9 inches of rain last month. (That's not normal.) NE Ohio is definitely not dry right now.

    It's spooky in metro Van now. The smoke is blocking the sun, and the light is so eerie. I have never seen anything like this here. With the heatwave, now the creepy smoke cover, plus the fact that the mosquitoes all hatched yesterday, it is pretty fucking unpleasant here right now, lol.

    Same here, but thankfully minus the mosquitoes! For the whole day we've been expecting the apocalypse because the whole world looks orangey-yellow.

    Ambivalent and like I'm sort of whiny. We have had essentially no rain since April, which is unusual as we live in a temperate rain forest. Rain is forecast for this weekend, which we desperately need, but I'm scheduled to be at an outdoor music festival. I'm annoyed, and annoyed at myself for being annoyed because our forest fire rating has been at extreme since June. :perturbed:
