    Sadly no. Too many stupid people blowing off extremities or making sprinkler bombs and blowing up their house. I used to live by the reservation, so people basically ignored the law.

    Sort of. We have a massive park at the end of our street. I just took a couple down there that had a parachute guy it launched into the air. The mortars and such will be shot from the center of the court when it gets dark later tonight.

    Next year Hedo, you need to bring your husband with you to AZ for a visit. I am stocking up in New Mexico so I will have a trunk load of the good stuff. Plus Mayhem is usually 4th of July weekend here.

    Do you ever travel for a festival (non PJ)? We have a 3 day one over Halloween weekend. Santana headlines night 1, Tool night 2, Linkin Park/Deftones/Rob Zombie are co headling night 3. I have an extra room if anyone wants to travel to see it. Weather should be mid 70's by then when it really pays to be here.

    Depends what type. My parachute guys had no flash and kids wanted to watch him do his travels back to earth. That would be hard during the night. Plus firecrackers and stuff are better during the day.

    Is you neighborhood do anything cool for the 4th? I love mine. We close the court of and everyone hauls their grills and coolers to the front and do a big block party.

    Boomer a litttle. Last year I coaxed him out front for a little while. He was so happy to be out with everyone he handled it better. I will try the same and will just watch him closely to see if he gets freaked out. That is much better than our first family dog that chewed a strip of molding off a door frame on the 4th.

    If the girls are hanging out I hope the boys will be invited. Will you invite us also? I could use a pedicure and some girl talk. I assume you have pillow fights in nighties and such.

    Ummm, not really. I did have a line once upon a time. When we lived in Palm Springs white party used to freak me out. Not because you have thousand of gay men decending on an area but because they would all hit on me. I only wish women would have hit on me as much as those guys did that weekend. As I got older though now I would see it as a complement. I do have a line but can't share it here. It involves the no no spot as a hint.

    And for the record I just heard fireworks, at 9:40 pm, in Victoria. Not for very long, but someone is celebrating today.
