    I also suggest no one sets off any fireworks if you're having very dry weather. Those things can start brush and forest fires.

    100% agree with the OP. There are risks people know and regularly ignore like fire and injury. This is one many people aren't even consciously aware of. I'm not about to go lighting off fireworks but if I were this isn't something I would have considered. Thanks for posting.

    Was on Isla Mujeres in Mexico back in 2009. Got to see one of the space shuttles reentering earth's atmosphere on its way back to Texas or Florida. Like a precision laser beam cut the sky open. Never seen anything like it before or since and it put any firework display to shame.

    I'll bet that was an amazing sight JimmyV!
    Fireworks are like city lights and skylines, they may get the juices flowing for some folks, but they are a paltry second place to fireflies and mountain views to me.
    As a child my family was lucky to see a large asteroid cut through the sky and break into pieces.. Awesome!
