Are you going to Arnheim too? (I am)
I have nowhere to stay there, I think I'll just pull an all-nighter with other jammers yet to meet.
I have nowhere to stay and going to both Arnhem and Antwerp too. We can be homeless together! The less you know, the more you believe.0

Drink Belgian beer.... and make sure someone responsible and sober can get you to the gig....0

Hey Neil (and Fraser). I'm going (but you already knew that!). It'll be fun seeing you guys again. I know a few people going to Dublin will also be doing Antwerp so a pre-gig meeting place is definitely in order. Last time I partied in Antwerp was probably 15-20 years ago so I'm not going to be much use to you guys.
Where are all our belgian jammers? Please find us a good place to have a drink or two! :D 0 :D 0

Good advice! :D Americans who have never had belgian beers are in for a surprise. Just the names Mort Subite and Delerium Tremens are a good indicator of things to come! 0 :D Americans who have never had belgian beers are in for a surprise. why stop with 2? belgium is beercountry, it's impossible to try every single one, but you shouldn't sto with 2.
too bad I have an oral exam the morning after, that show will be pretty sober for me, luckely I can go totally wasted in paris and berlin.2006: antwerp, paris, berlin
 2007: nijmegene werchter
 2009: rotterdam
 2010: nijmegen, berlin, arras, werchter0

any recommendations on places to stay in Antwerp? How about Arnhem? I need a place to crash after the shows, preferably a hostel that is reasonably priced. Is it a problem if I haven't made reservations before departing from the states? I've heard some concerns that it's going to be tough to find a place in Arnhem.
I look forward to celebrating music and life with those of you across the pond.0

I lived in Belgium for over 15 years and I still don't think I've tried every beer there! Exam the next day... so it will be one or two for you! But...... we still need a place to meet before (and after?)!! Any good ideas, antwerp jammers?0

just outside (and across the street of) the 'sportpaleis' there are some bars, quite small bars that do intend to raise their prices for big concerts.
in antwerp itself there must be some good bars, but as antwerp is not my habitat I don't want to recommend one.2006: antwerp, paris, berlin

.. and fair enough! We'll eventually find a good place for us to meet beforehand! Just waiting on our friends who have a good knowledge of antwerp drinking holes! Still a good couple of weeks to go!0

Here's a good one, "the kid" in the centre of Antwerp, near "de grote markt".
It's a blues pub, and every wednesday at 10pm there's a blues jam
 here's the website : http://users.skynet.be/kid.vanthienen/index.htm0
