If I had the original I wouldn't buy the reissue at all, assuming the original still plays perfectly.... I just thought maybe RobbyD was looking to make a few bucks! ;)

I've got an original and I'll keep it as it's the classic version of the soundtrack that I quite like. I'll buy the reissue too as it's expanded.

I seem to have a number of albums where I have an OP and then bought the new reissue. Some of them (like Zeppelin) were such old pressings I found it hard to find a decent used one (the new remasters rock) and want one that isn't full of scratches and pops. Sometimes it's because I want to preserve the original so I play the reissue a bit more. Sometimes it's because I like to collect.

Never sell the vinyl, keep adding to the collection :)

Had the original....sold it. Will buy the reissue and be just as happy with it than the OG.

Has anyone heard any new updates to this? Can't wait to hear the acoustic demo of Dyslexic Heart from Westerberg on this expanded soundtrack release.

I always thought "The Fixer" sounded like a hybrid of those Paul Westerberg's songs on the Singles soundtrack. Am I alone here? Has this been discussed before?

How about an updated track list for crying out loud? No need to re buy the thing if it stays the same.

August should be good for the reissued vinyl. Between this and Cornell's Euphoria Mourning, I'll be one happy camper!

As there has been nothing "official" about this ever, I would definitely expect a delay.

The last known talk about this was http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2015/05/cameron-crowe-music-interview back in May. Since then not a single word, info or leak of this reissue. If it was to be released in August we would of already hear about a pre sale or something.

The delay is probably because of the Aloha vinyl release. http://www.theuncool.com/2015/07/06/aloha-vinyl-coming-soon/ . It does look pretty freaking sweet! Too bad it doesn't include the Ed & daughter track from the credits.

    my question:
    Cameron,
I’ve had the Singles soundtrack on CD since release - way back when (early 90s). Killer track list! Somewhere along the way, I acquired the preference for vinyl; and this awesome soundtrack is out of print and crazy expensive on the second hand market. Internet rumors say there is plenty of material left off the original release and that this album may be prime for an expanded release. Would you please share what plans do you have for a future vinyl re-release or expanded release and if so, when? Hoping to spin the black circle real soon. Best regards,
    Darrin

Expanded release would be awesome. Simply reissuing it? Not so much.

I would love a expanded release on vinyl, but I would be ticked pink for a simple reissue.

This is hands down my favorite soundtrack of all-time.
